“Perspectives: Art, Liver Diseases and Me” is a project run by the School of Fine Art of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and AbbVie International, a pharmaceutical company. The aim of the project is to create works of art together with patients that suffer from Hepatitis C, to make the disease more visible and to get rid of the social stigma it may carry.
My name is Susana Carne, I am originally from Spain but I have been living in London since 2010, I am a contemporary artist and I am very happy to have been invited to take part in the project making a piece of art in collaboration with an Hepatitis C patient called Kelvin. We have mutually agreed to use this blog as a diary of the journey we have just started together, we will be talking about the disease, the art work we are developing together or any other ideas or thoughts the project may inspire us. I hope you share and enjoy our little adventure.
